Lyrics

Crimson Sky

Tornados in her mind
A storm within her heart
She turned self-destruction
Into a new form of art
She tried to ruin everything
She was too afraid to sing
But when she did it sounded like
An angel's broken wing
It was time for her to fly
So she shot up through the crimson sky
As she waved goodbye
It was time for her to leave
She had an ace of hearts tucked up her sleeve
So she played her final hand
With such command
And set her self free
Pure poison in her lips
Seduction in her eyes
She made a hopeless victim
Out of any passing guy
She'd go from laughing in one breath
To screaming in the next
I can't say that her fate was one
That I did not expect
It was time for her to fly
So she shot up through the crimson sky
As she waved goodbye
It was time for her to leave
She had an ace of hearts tucked up her sleeve
So she played her final hand
With such command
And set her self free
To vanquish the scars
And be high as the stars
She took off like a train though the night
On two tracks toward the light and I swear
If you'd have been there
You'd have seen quite a performance
Corruption in her soul
Addiction in her flesh
Reality and her personality just didn't mesh
She was just too much for this earth
She never knew her worth
But in the end she had one friend
To witness her rebirth
It was time for her to fly
So she shot up through the crimson sky
As she waved goodbye
It was time for her to leave
She had an ace of hearts tucked up her sleeve
So she played her final hand
With such command
And set her self free
